Sanctus Real est un groupe de rock chrétien évangélique américain formé en 1996. Le groupe est composé de Matt Hammitt (chant, guitare), Chris Rohman (guitare), Dan Gartley (basse), Pete Prevost (guitare) et Mark Graalman (batterie). Le groupe sort d'abord 3 premiers albums indépendants : All This Talk of Aliens (1998), Message for the Masses (1999), Nothing to Lose (2001).
En 2002, après avoir signé avec Sparrow Records, le groupe sort son album, Say It Loud, à la fin de l'année. Il a été suivi par Fight the Tide (2004), qui recueille un Dove Award en 2005, et deux singles. L'album du groupe, The Face of Love (2006). Le single "I'm not Alright" reçoit une nomination aux GMA Dove Awards en 2007.
